New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has closed 18 metro stations across central Delhi from 7:30 am on Saturday (July 25) until further notice due to heightened security arrangements amid the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protests near Jantar Mantar. Authorities have advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative transport where necessary.

According to the DMRC advisory, the following stations are closed:

- Central Secretariat
- ITO
- Delhi Gate

- Khan Market
- Jor Bagh
- Shivaji Stadium
- Jhandewalan
- New Delhi
Interchange and Airport Express advisory
While entry and exit remain suspended at the affected stations, commuters can continue to use interchange facilities at select stations wherever permitted. Train services on the Airport Express Line are operating only between Dhaula Kuan and Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25, resulting in limited connectivity to New Delhi Railway Station and central parts of the city.

The restrictions have been imposed as part of enhanced security measures amid the ongoing CJP protests in central Delhi. This is the fourth consecutive day of metro service disruptions, with authorities tightening security around Parliament, Jantar Mantar and other key government locations to maintain law and order.
