Gold & Silver prices climb again: Gold up Rs 732, Silver up Rs 2,410 in a week

According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), on the last trading day of last week, Friday, July 11, gold was at Rs 97,511, which has now reached Rs 98,243 per 10 grams on July 18. That is, its price has increased by Rs 732 in a week.

Talking about silver, it was at Rs 1,10,290 on July 11, which has now reached Rs 1,12,700 per kg (18 July). In this way, its price has increased by Rs 2,410 in a week’s trading. On July 14, silver made an all-time high of Rs 1,13,867. Before this, gold made an all-time high of Rs 99,454 on June 8.

Yesterday, gold became costlier by 790 and silver by 1700

There was an increase in the price of gold and silver on Friday (18 July). According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 790 to Rs 98,243 per 10 grams. Earlier, its price was Rs 97,453.

The price of silver has increased by Rs 1,700 to Rs 1,12,700 per kg. Earlier, silver was at Rs 1,11,000. On July 14, silver had made an all-time high of Rs 1,13,867. Earlier, gold had made an all-time high of Rs 99,454 on June 8.

Gold has become costlier by Rs 22,000 so far this year

This year, i.e. from January 1 till now, the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 22,081 from Rs 76,162 to Rs 98,243. At the same time, the price of silver has also increased by Rs 26,683 from Rs 86,017 per kg to Rs 1,12,700. Last year, i.e. in 2024, gold became costlier by Rs 12,810.
