Mandi, July 20: Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut is once again embroiled in controversy. Kangana described the flood victims of Mandi as earthquake victims, after which her statement went viral on social media. Kangana said in a statement in Delhi that there has been a massive earthquake in Mandi and talks are being held with the ministries regarding this. Kangana said this in an interview given to an agency in Delhi on Saturday.
In reality, there was no earthquake in Mandi, but a cloudburst. After this false statement, people started criticising, Kangana on social media. After this, a video of Neelam, a resident of Bung Railchak village, is going viral on social media. In the video, Neelam has made serious allegations against Kangana.
Did not care in the hour of trouble – Local
A local resident said that during the elections, Kangana came to every house with folded hands to ask for votes. But in this hour of trouble, she did not care for the victims even once. In fact, many people became homeless due to a cloudburst on 30 June and 1 July in the Seraj area. Even 19 days after the incident, electricity and water facilities have not been restored in many villages.
Earlier too, Kangana has been in controversies over her statements on the cloudburst incident. Locals say that being an MP, she should be more sensitive towards the problems of the area.
