A food delivery executive lost his life after his two-wheeler was struck by a luxury car in the Mundhwa area of Pune on Friday morning. According to the police, the driver of the luxury vehicle did not stop following the collision. The car also collided with another two-wheeler before hitting the bike that the delivery executive, Rauf Shaikh, was riding.
The police reported that the accident occurred around 1:35 AM when the accused, 34-year-old Ayush Tayal, first hit another motorcycle, injuring three individuals, before rear-ending Rauf Shaikh’s bike and causing severe injuries. Shaikh was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
After the incident, Tayal fled the scene, but investigators analyzed CCTV footage to identify his vehicle and arrested him at his residence in the Hadapsar area. A case has been filed against him under various sections of the BNS at the Mundhwa police station, and further investigations are ongoing.
