Ludhiana: The pandal erected for Religious Function (Devi Jagran) collapsed due to the storm that came in the city late Saturday night. This led to a major accident. 3 people died being buried under it, while about 15 people were injured.

It is being told that due to the fall of the pandal, the idol of Lord Bholenath seated in the temple also fell and broke. Apart from this, there is also information of trees falling and electric poles falling at many places in the storm.

At the same time, trees fell at many places due to the storm, due to which the electric wires also broke. Let us tell you that this accident happened near Shri Govind Godham Temple built on Hambda Road in Ludhiana.

Jagran was organized in the empty ground behind the temple. On Saturday night, everyone was engrossed in Jagran. Mata ki Bhent was being sung and dancing and singing was going on.

Meanwhile, a storm blew at around 2 o’clock in the night. People tried to hold each other and regain balance, and due to the strong wind, they took shelter inside the pandal. Some people had also gone out. In a short while, the pandal collapsed due to the wind.

The people present under it got buried in the pandal. There was screaming all around due to the strong wind. People started running here and there.

15 people injured, most of them children
The people present on the spot started removing the people buried under the pandal. During this, they found that 2 women died on the spot. Whereas, around 15 people were injured. Most of them are children, who were sitting in the front row during the Jagran. They were admitted to private hospitals in the city.
