In a tragic incident in Yamunanagar, one of the three children who came in contact with an 11-KV high-tension line while holding the kite string and died of burns on the spot, while two children narrowly escaped. The deceased was a student of class VIII, and this incident has put his family in deep shock.
According to the information, this accident happened when the children were flying kites in an area of Yamunanagar. The kite string got stuck in the high-tension wire, and while trying to remove it, all three children got electrocuted. One child died on the spot, while the other two were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The villagers have blamed the negligence of the electricity department for this accident. They allege that the high tension wires were not properly looked after and maintained, due to which this accident happened. The local people have demanded strict action against the electricity department.
