Jalandhar: The employment officer in Jalandhar held a meeting regarding Agniveer recruitment. During the meeting, it was announced that the registration date for Agniveer recruitment in Punjab has been extended to April 10, 2026. Candidates born between July 2005 and 2009 are eligible to apply.
Extended Deadline and Eligibility Criteria
Neelam Mahe, Deputy Director of the District Employment and Business Bureau, stated that the last date for online registration has been extended from April 1 to April 10. Interested candidates can apply through the official website, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
As per the schedule, the online examination will be conducted on June 1, 2026. Only candidates born between July 1, 2005, and July 1, 2009, will be eligible for recruitment.
Educational Qualifications for Different Posts
Different posts have specific educational requirements. For Agniveer General Duty (GD), candidates must have passed 10th with at least 45% marks. For technical posts, candidates must have completed 12th with Science (PCM).
For Clerk or Store Keeper Technical (SKT) posts, a minimum of 60% marks in 10th is required. Meanwhile, candidates who have passed 8th or 10th are also eligible to apply for Tradesman posts.
Free Coaching and Facilities for Aspirants
Youth in Punjab can also benefit from free coaching for both written and physical tests. Training is available at the Theh Kanjla C-PIT Center, where facilities such as hostel accommodation, food, gym, and smart classes are provided free of cost by the Punjab government.
Captain Ajit Singh, Training Officer at the C-PYTE camp in Theh Kanjla, Kapurthala, said that all essential facilities are being provided to help candidates prepare effectively.
