Chandigarh: BJP is facing opposition from farmer organizations in Punjab due to the non-fulfillment of other demands including the guarantee of MSP.
The situation has reached such a stage that BJP candidates are being stopped from entering the villages. In such a situation, now Punjab BJP has prepared a new formula to avoid farmers’ protest and pacify them. Now it remains to be seen whether this new formula of BJP will be able to withstand the opposition of farmer organizations or not.
Punjab BJP has now fielded Kisan Morcha for the election campaign to avoid farmers’ protests and to pacify them.
Punjab BJP Kisan Morcha on Friday announced the members of Kisan Morcha’s Lok Sabha election campaign committee from all the 13 Lok Sabha seats of the state.
One in-charge and four co-in-charges have been made from each Lok Sabha seat. A total of 65 people have been appointed.
This appointment has been made by the party’s Kisan Morcha National President Raj Kumar Chahar and Punjab President Sunil Jakhar. These appointments are considered very important.
Also, the thinking is that these people will now go among the farmers and take the policies of the party will also help in improving the image of the party.
Kisan Morcha Lok Sabha Election Campaign Committee includes Bikramjit Singh Randhawa from Gurdaspur, Gurmak Singh from Amritsar, Sitara Singh from Khadur Sahib, Satnam Singh Bitta from Jalandhar, Karanpal Singh Goldy from Hoshiarpur, Jatinder Singh Athwal from Anandpur Sahib, Ludhiana. Tejinder Kaur Teji from Fatehgarh Sahib, Ranjit Singh Saran from Fatehgarh Sahib, Lakhwinder Singh Momi from Faridkot, Davinder Pal Singh from Ferozepur, Gurcharan Singh Sandhu from Bathinda, Palwinder Singh from Sangrur and Amarinder Singh Dhindsa from Patiala were made in-charges.
