Mumbai: Akshay Kumar has finally addressed the absence of Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor from Welcome to the Jungle, the third installment of the popular Welcome franchise. Speaking about the much-discussed casting change, the actor clarified that their exclusion was not intentional and expressed hope that the original stars could reunite in a future installment.
Akshay Kumar Breaks His Silence
Responding to the speculation surrounding the casting, Akshay Kumar said that he too missed Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in the film. He explained that the decision regarding the cast was not in his hands and rested entirely with the producers and filmmakers.
The actor added that he has immense respect for both veteran actors and believes they were an integral part of the franchise’s success.

The absence of Nana Patekar, who played the iconic Uday Shetty, and Anil Kapoor, who portrayed Majnu Bhai, surprised fans when the cast of Welcome to the Jungle was announced.
Akshay clarified that he had no role in deciding the casting and that such decisions are taken by the producers. He dismissed rumours suggesting any personal differences with the actors.
