Jalandhar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Radisson owner Gautam Kapoor over lunch in Jalandhar on Wednesday, where the two held discussions on various matters.
BJP Punjab President Kewal Singh Dhillon and Pankaj Sardana were also present during the meeting.
The meeting took place during Shah’s visit to Punjab, where he arrived in Jalandhar for a series of engagements, including a visit to the historic Shri Devi Talab Mandir and a major BJP rally.
Shah’s Jalandhar visit comes as the BJP concludes its ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra’, an anti-drug campaign that travelled across the state ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
The campaign covered all 117 Assembly constituencies and focused on raising awareness about drug abuse in the state.
Shah is scheduled to address a BJP gathering at Paragpur, where the yatra will formally conclude.
Earlier, the Union Home Minister visited Shri Devi Talab Mandir in Jalandhar and paid obeisance before proceeding to the rally venue.
His visit comes amid heightened political activity in Punjab, with the BJP stepping up its organisational and public outreach ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.
