Amritsar DM Suicide Case: Ex-Minister Bhullar sent to 5-day remand

In the case of the death of DM Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, the Amritsar court today sent former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP Punjab) cabinet minister Laljit Singh Bhullar to 5-day remand. After arresting Bhullar yesterday, the police had produced him in the court today, where a 7-day remand was sought, but the court granted 5-day remand.

It is worth mentioning that after Punjab Warehouse Corporation DM Gagandeep Randhawa ) committed suicide on Saturday, the Amritsar police had registered an FIR against Laljit Bhullar on Sunday. A case was also registered against Bhullar’s father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar and PA Dilbagh Singh, among others.

In her complaint, the victim’s wife Upinder Kaur had accused Bhullar, her father and the PA of forcing her husband to take this heinous step. She had accused Bhullar of assaulting her husband and repeatedly humiliating him over the allotment of warehouse tenders. After enduring the torture, Randhawa allegedly consumed sulfas on Saturday morning. Before taking this horrific step, she recorded a short video, which is now going viral on social media.
