New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi and held what he described as a meaningful discussion on a range of topics, including the nation, society, culture, cinema and life.
Sharing photographs from the meeting on social media platform X, Kher expressed gratitude to the Union Minister for his warm hospitality and affection.
“I had the good fortune of meeting the Union Home Minister Amit Shah Ji at his residence. I am deeply grateful to him for his affection, warm hospitality and sense of kinship,” the veteran actor wrote.
Kher Praises Amit Shah’s Knowledge and Clarity
Anupam Kher said the two had an extensive conversation covering several important subjects related to the country and society.
He praised Amit Shah’s understanding of various issues, saying his depth of knowledge, remarkable memory and clarity of thought were inspiring.
“Every meeting with such a personality offers an opportunity to think anew and learn something fresh,” Kher said.
The actor also mentioned that the idol of Lord Hanuman placed where he was seated during the meeting made the interaction even more memorable.

The meeting comes days after Anupam Kher voiced concern over the devastating floods in Assam. Sharing an emotional message on social media, the veteran actor urged people to extend support to flood-affected families and expressed sadness over the loss and destruction caused by the disaster.
A recipient of two National Film Awards, Kher remains active in both cinema and public life, often sharing his views on national and social issues through his social media platforms.
