Asia Cup Final: Pakistan Bowled Out for 146, India Chasing 147 for Title

Dubai: Pakistan collapsed dramatically in the Asia Cup 2025 final on Sunday, setting India a target of 147 runs for victory after being dismissed for 146 in 19.1 overs.

Electing to bowl first after winning the toss, India’s bowlers dominated the contest, with left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav emerging as the standout performer. Yadav took four wickets, including three in a single over, triggering Pakistan’s middle-order collapse.

Pakistan, who were cruising at 113 for 1, lost their remaining nine wickets for just 33 runs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan was the top scorer with a fighting 57, but received little support as wickets fell in quick succession.

For India, apart from Yadav’s decisive spell, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel claimed two wickets each. Bumrah clean-bowled Mohammad Nawaz on the first ball of the final over to end Pakistan’s innings.

India now need 147 runs to secure the Asia Cup trophy.
