The timings of the famous Retreat Ceremony held at the India-Pakistan Attari border in Amritsar have been changed. As per the new decision, the Retreat Ceremony will now begin at 6:00 PM and continue till 6:30 PM. Earlier, the Retreat Ceremony used to begin at 5:30 PM and end at 6:00 PM.
The administration has taken this decision keeping in mind the weather and major days. Officials say the change in timings was necessary to provide a better experience to the spectators and maintain smooth security. A large number of people gather at the Attari-Wagah border every day to witness this patriotic ceremony.
The new timings have been implemented from today, May 1. This means that any tourists or locals planning to witness this ceremony will have to arrive as per the new timings.
