Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh: A 4-month pregnant woman, disguised in a burqa, was arrested along with her boyfriend for allegedly robbing jewellery from a shop. CCTV footage captured the couple during the heist, which took place in Ruduali, Ayodhya.
Disguise and Theft Details
Authorities said the woman used a toy pistol to threaten the shop staff and robbed gold and jewellery items. The couple attempted to flee the scene, but police quickly traced them using CCTV and other leads. Interestingly, the woman’s burqa disguise led police to initially believe she was Muslim, but it was later revealed that she is Hindu, challenging assumptions about appearances and crime.
