The metro has been granted the mandatory “Okay to Run” (green signal) for commercial operations, paving the way for official launch activities.
Inauguration and Operations
The formal inauguration of the Bhopal Metro Rail Project is scheduled for December 20, 2025, with key dignitaries expected to attend and Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to flag off the service virtually. Following the ceremony, passenger train services are planned to begin soon on the priority corridor, boosting connectivity in the city.
