Bihar Polls: NDA Confident of 10th Term for Nitish Kumar, Opposition Claims Winds of Change

Patna: As Bihar gears up for the counting of votes on November 14, both the ruling NDA and the Opposition Mahagathbandhan have expressed strong confidence in forming the next government.

“Abki Baar NDA Sarkar,” Says BJP

BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal said the NDA will return to power with a “massive majority,” citing Bihar’s peaceful polling and development record. He credited voter trust in PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar as key factors.

JD(U) and Allies Echo Confidence

JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar and BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav asserted that Nitish Kumar will once again become Chief Minister. LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Choudhary dismissed Opposition optimism as “baseless.”

Opposition Counters with Faith in People’s Mandate

Congress leader Surendra Rajput rejected exit polls, saying the Mahagathbandhan will surprise everyone. RJD’s Mrityunjay Tiwari claimed that “change is inevitable” and that the people have voted for transformation.

High Turnout, Tight Contest

The Election Commission reported a 68.79% voter turnout in the two-phase Bihar Assembly elections, marking strong public participation.

Most exit polls predict an NDA majority, with Nitish Kumar poised for a record 10th term — though the Opposition insists a political twist awaits on counting day.
