Bikaner: A shocking incident occurred in a Bikaner village on Saturday. The body of a 13-year-old student, who had left home to take her 8th-grade board exam, was found half-naked in bushes near a canal. There are suspicions that she was raped, sparking widespread outrage in the area.
Fact revealed after she failed to reach the exam center
The student left her home on foot for the exam center, located 2 kilometers away, at around 12:15 p.m. When she failed to arrive at school, teachers responded promptly and called her family at around 1:46 p.m. Upon receiving information from the school, the family began searching for her, and her body was found in the bushes.
Family Protest and Police Action
After the body was discovered, angry family members protested at the scene and refused to pick up the body, demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and the collection of evidence by the FSL team. Upon receiving the information, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kavendra Singh Sagar arrived at the scene with his team and assured the family of appropriate action.
Waiting for the Medical Report
According to the police, the body has been taken into custody and an investigation has been initiated. The SP stated that the FSL team has collected evidence from the scene. However, the official confirmation of whether the girl was raped or not will only be possible after the post-mortem report is received.
