New Delhi: The President of India has appointed BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma as the Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
According to a press communiqué issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan, Dinesh Sharma’s appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge of the office.
The announcement was issued for immediate release by the Press Secretary to the President, Dr. Manisha Verma, on September 5, 2026.
