Chandigarh: Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh began his two-day organisational visit to Punjab on Monday, August 24.
Punjab BJP State President Kewal Singh Dhillon and Punjab BJP Co-incharge Narinder Singh Raina welcomed Santosh at Mohali Airport.
During his visit on August 24 and 25, Santosh will hold a series of zonal meetings with BJP leaders and organisational office-bearers across Punjab. The meetings will review the party’s organisational activities and discuss measures to further strengthen its preparedness at the grassroots level.
Five zonal meetings across Punjab
On August 24, Santosh will chair meetings in Patiala and Bathinda.
The Patiala meeting will include representatives from Mohali, Patiala North, Patiala Urban, Patiala South, Fatehgarh Sahib and Sangrur.
The Bathinda meeting will include representatives from Barnala, Mansa, Bathinda Rural, Bathinda Urban, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Fazilka and Faridkot.
The zonal meeting series will continue on August 25 in Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar.
Ludhiana, Jalandhar meetings on August 25
The Ludhiana meeting will include representatives from Ludhiana Rural, Ludhiana Urban, Moga, Jagraon, Khanna, Malerkotla and Ropar.
The Jalandhar meeting will be attended by representatives from Jalandhar North, Jalandhar Urban, Jalandhar South, Hoshiarpur Urban, Hoshiarpur Rural, Nawanshahr and Kapurthala.
The final zonal meeting will be held in Amritsar and will include Amritsar Urban, Amritsar Rural-1 and 2, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Batala, Pathankot and Ferozepur.
A separate meeting with the state general secretaries has also been scheduled in Amritsar.
BJP focuses on organisational preparedness
The two-day programme aims to review the BJP’s organisational functioning across different areas of Punjab and strengthen coordination among party leaders and office-bearers.
The meetings will also focus on improving organisational preparedness and strengthening the party’s grassroots network across the state.
