A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Amritsar that has put a strain on relationships. Here, a brother brutally attacked his own sister with an iron rod. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed outside the house, in which the sister is seen screaming in pain, while the accused keeps attacking her.
Attack on sister by brother
The surprising thing is that all this happened in the presence of the father, but he did not make any attempt to stop the attack. In this attack, the young girl was seriously injured and one of her leg bones was badly broken.
Case captured on CCTV camera
The CCTV footage clearly shows that a young girl comes out of her house. As soon as she comes out of the house, a car comes and stops there. The girl’s brother and father get out of the car. Immediately after this, the brother starts attacking his younger sister with an iron rod in his hand.
Father is attacked in front of her
In the footage, it is seen that the brother keeps attacking the girl with the iron rod continuously, while she tries to save herself by screaming in pain. During this, the father is also present at the spot, but does not attempt to stop the attack. After some time, the wife of the girl’s other brother comes out of the house. On seeing her, the accused brother flees from the spot.
Woman seriously injured in the attack
Talking to the media, Mandeep Singh said that his younger sister Navdeep Kaur was allegedly attacked with an iron rod by her younger brother and father. In this attack, both her legs were seriously injured and fractured in two places.
According to Mandeep Singh, his sister had come from Mumbai to meet him. It is alleged that the younger brother had a grudge as to why she had come to his house. When she left his house to go to her in-laws’ house, she was attacked on the way. He said that the attack took place in New Model Town, Khandwala, Chheharta area of Amritsar. In the attack, she suffered serious injuries on her hands and legs, while one leg was badly broken. She is currently undergoing surgery and her condition is said to be serious.
‘Main reason for the dispute is family property’
Mandeep Singh alleged that the main reason for this dispute is family property. According to him, the younger brother wants to get all the property in his name and for this reason he has beaten him up many times in the past and has even tried to attack him with a kirpan.
He also alleged that the younger brother often goes to the house of his sister and other relatives intoxicated with alcohol, takes his father along and abuses and quarrels. They say that this series has been going on continuously for the last 20 days.
Mandeep Singh said that after the incident, he has filed a complaint with the police and the victim has been medically examined at the civil hospital. He has demanded from the administration that strict legal action should be taken against the accused. At the same time, SHO of Chheharta police station Balwinder Singh said that this matter is in his notice.
