Amritsar: Varinder Singh Ghuman, India’s leading international vegetarian bodybuilder and Bollywood actor, has died following a heart attack.
According to sources, Ghuman had travelled to Amritsar for treatment after suffering a shoulder fracture. He reportedly suffered a heart attack during the medical procedure for his injury and could not be revived.
Hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, Ghuman was widely known for being the country’s most prominent vegetarian bodybuilder and had represented India on several international bodybuilding platforms. He also appeared in multiple Bollywood films, gaining recognition for his physique and screen presence.
His sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the bodybuilding and film fraternity.
