Important decisions taken in Cabinet Meeting, Budget session to commence from March 1

Chandigarh : Following the important meeting of cabinet ministers at the residence of Punjab Chief minister Bhagwant Mann, Finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema briefed the media about the important decisions taken in the meeting.

Punjab Home Guard Jaspal Singh died in Sultanpur Lodhi, for whom the Punjab Government announced a grant of Rs 1 crore. To make small industries and MSMEs flourish, CM Bhagwant Mann established a wing in the Punjab Cabinet today, which will solve all the problems of MSMEs, which will give a good boost to the MSME sector.

The third important decision is related to teachers. Research has been done in their transfer policy so that teachers from Punjab remain posted near their homes. Fourth decision: Jangi Jagir given to widows of war veterans has been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.

Fifth decision has been taken that if the employees of Punjab who are talented and do good work, they will now be able to give their consultancy to other states also. Professors were not recruited in Punjab and age relaxation will be given to part time and guest faculty working at that place. Due to which their age limit has been increased from 37 to 45 for 612 posts which were to be filled.

The date of the upcoming budget session of Punjab Legislative Assembly will start from March 1 and will continue till March 15. On 1st the Governor will give his speech and on 5th the Punjab budget will be presented. The speech given on 1st date will be debated on 4th date.

Finance Minister Harpal Cheema also spoke on the farmers’ movement, he said that there was a discussion in the cabinet regarding the movement. On this, all the SSF vehicles have been deployed near the movement. The death of farmer Shubhkaran was also discussed during the movement. CM is in touch with his family and they will be provided full assistance.
