A young woman died, and four others were injured in a road accident near Sadhupul in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district this morning (Tuesday). After receiving first aid at Kandaghat, the injured were referred to IGMC Shimla. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
According to reports, all five occupants of the car were traveling towards Sadhupul. Around 9:30 AM, the car went out of control and plunged into a 150-foot-deep gorge. Subsequently, with the assistance of residents, the injured were transported to the Kandaghat hospital, where they were referred to IGMC Shimla after receiving preliminary treatment.
Death of a 24-Year-Old Woman
The accident occurred in the Dochi area, adjacent to Sadhupul. A 24-year-old woman lost her life in this mishap. According to the police, the vehicle was carrying a couple (the parents), their daughter, the mother-in-law, and a sister-in-law. Of these occupants, the daughter passed away, while the others sustained serious injuries. Three of the injured individuals are reported to be residents of Thodha village, located near Sadhupul.
Body Sent to Solan for Post-Mortem
Upon receiving information about the accident, the police arrived at the scene and commenced their investigation into the matter. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at IGMC Shimla, while the body of the deceased young woman has been sent to the Solan hospital for a post-mortem examination. The body will be handed over to the family members following the post-mortem. According to the police, the exact cause of the accident has not yet been ascertained.
