Death due to Heart Attack

Prima facie, the cause of death is believed to be a heart attack. According to reports, when Amresh Mahajan, playing King Dasharatha, rested his head on the shoulder of a fellow actor on the Ramlila stage in Chaugan, Chamba, the audience and actors briefly thought it was a part of the performance.

However, when there was no movement, the actor playing the sage in the performance attempted to lift him up. Upon hearing the call, other actors immediately arrived on stage, and took him to the medical college in a private vehicle.

This was his last conversation

Doctors admitted him after first aid. He passed away shortly afterward. The Ramlila atmosphere became somber at the death of the actor playing Dasharatha. Consequently, the performance, scheduled for the second Navratri festival, has been postponed to Wednesday.

During the Ramlila performance, Actor, playing King Dasharatha, told Sage Vishwamitra, “You are a wise sage. At the most, you can ask for my kingdom or my life.” I would happily sacrifice my life for a sage like you.’ Saying this, he placed his head on the sage’s shoulder and collapsed the next moment.
