Haridwar/Dehradun: Uttarakhand’s world-famous Chardham Yatra is witnessing tremendous enthusiasm among devotees. Within just 12 days of the online registration process opening, the number has reached nearly 7 lakh (686,305). Given the pace at which registrations are being received, it is estimated that this year’s record of 5.1 million pilgrims set in 2025 could be broken.
Key dates for the Yatra
This year’s Yatra will begin on April 19.
April 19: The doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri shrines will open.
April 22: The doors of Kedarnath shrine will open.
April 23: The doors of Badrinath shrine will open.
May 23: The doors of Hemkund Sahib will open.
Registration figures rise rapidly.
The Tourism Department began online registration on March 6. Since then, thousands of devotees have been registering every day.
