Shimla: A car crashed in Chaupal, Shimla district, last night, killing a young man. Police recovered the man’s body from a ditch late at night and sent it to Chaupal Hospital for a postmortem.
The deceased has been identified as Hemant Kumar, a resident of Bamta. Ravindra Singh was driving alone and was heading home in the evening. His Alto car, number HP-08A-0411, lost control and fell into a 200-meter-deep ravine.

After the accident, people nearby alerted the police, and the body was pulled from the ditch late at night. The accident occurred on the main Bamta road, about 100 meters before Jhiknipul, near Bhabhar in Chaupal.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
