Mumbai: The controversy surrounding the postponed wedding of Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana continues to generate buzz on social media. Amid growing speculation, choreographer Nandika Dwivedi—who was hired for the wedding—has broken her silence and firmly denied any involvement in the matter.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Nandika addressed the rumours directly, stating that claims linking her to personal issues between others were entirely false.
“In recent days, I have observed speculation regarding my involvement in a matter that is profoundly personal for others… the notion that I contributed to any relationship disruption—are simply NOT accurate,” she wrote.
Concerns Over False Information and Online Attacks
Nandika expressed distress over what she described as baseless narratives spreading rapidly without facts. She also criticised media reports that, according to her, were drawn from unverified online platforms. “Media sources are particularly publishing articles based on information from platforms like Reddit… leading to defamation,” she said, adding that the situation has taken a toll on her personally.
She further revealed that the rumours have affected her mental health and that she has received threats, prompting her to make her social media account private. Nandika appealed for the speculation to stop, saying she had no connection whatsoever with the issues being discussed publicly.
Appeal for Privacy and Fairness
“I kindly ask everyone to cease the rumors… Please do not associate my name with this any further; I am not involved in any of it. Ultimately, the truth will emerge,” she said, emphasising the sacrifices she made to build her career in Mumbai and urging people not to damage it through unfounded allegations.
Another Choreographer Also Responds
Earlier, another choreographer, Gulnaaz, who was also associated with the wedding preparations, issued a clarification on social media. She stated that neither she nor Nandika had any role in the issue, urging people not to draw conclusions simply based on social connections or photographs.
The wedding, which has reportedly been postponed indefinitely, continues to be the subject of intense public curiosity, even as those involved call for restraint and respect for personal boundaries.
