A case came to light in Chandigarh where a delivery agent died in an accident while trying to deliver an order within ten minutes.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal took cognizance of this incident. He convened a meeting of representatives of these e-commerce companies providing these services and told them to stop making claims of delivering goods within ten minutes. An order has been issued that the announcement of delivering goods within a fixed time period after an online order will no longer be applicable. Those working in this field have been told to drive at a normal speed and deliver goods within a reasonable time; the claim of delivering goods within ten or fifteen minutes has been abolished. Orders should be fulfilled promptly, but not at the risk of the delivery boys’ lives. Some experts say that this order will disrupt the operations of online businesses.
