New Delhi: The International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) has officially approved the World Super Kabaddi League (WSKL) 2025, which is being organized in partnership with the South East Asian Kabaddi Federation (SEAKF) and the Kabaddi Association of Thailand.
In a congratulatory message to SJ Uplift Kabaddi Private Limited, the organization responsible for the WSKL, IKF praised their commitment and vision for advancing Kabaddi. In their statement, IKF highlighted that launching a kabaddi league is a significant undertaking that demands a thorough understanding of the sport, exceptional organizational abilities, and a dedication to promoting this traditional game. They believe that these efforts will motivate young athletes and greatly enhance the growth and appeal of kabaddi.
The WSKL will involve players from IKF member nations participating in an auction before the matches. This format not only allows players to demonstrate their abilities but also aims to position the league as a globally recognized event.
Earlier this August, the SEAKF awarded SJ Uplift Kabaddi Private Limited the exclusive rights to organize the WSKL for 15 years, ensuring a sustainable future for the league. Furthermore, the Kabaddi Association of Thailand has recognized SJ Uplift Kabaddi Pvt Ltd as the “sole and exclusive creator, conceptualizer, and rightsholder of the league.”
