A crude bomb was hurled in Naoda, Murshidabad, West Bengal, yesterday. Several people were injured in the incident. Subsequently, when Humayun Kabir, Chief of the Amra Bangali Unnayan Party (AUJP), arrived at the scene today, he faced protests. During this time, a clash ensued between him and TMC workers.

According to reports, Humayun Kabir had arrived to visit the area where an incident involving the hurling of a crude bomb took place. During this visit, a verbal altercation escalated between the two sides, leading to a physical clash during voting.

Voting Disrupted in Several Places Across Bengal
The voting process was disrupted in several locations across West Bengal during the first phase of the Assembly elections.
Malfunctions in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at numerous polling stations caused delays in voting, and in some places, polling had to be temporarily halted.
In the Beldanga area of Murshidabad district, voting was suspended at Booth Number 156 located at the Parsalika Madanmohan Primary School due to an EVM malfunction.
Similarly, at Booth Number 212 in Shamsherganj, voting could not commence on schedule. Voting also started late at Booth Number 130 in the Kandi area due to a similar technical issue
