Jalandhar: The building branch of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar has taken bulldozer action against illegal construction early this morning. The building branch of the Municipal Corporation, taking action on the orders of Corporation Commissioner Gautam Jain, has demolished a commercial under construction building being built illegally on University Road in Ladhewali by running a ditch machine.
ATP Sukhdev Vashisht of the Building Branch said that the demolition action has been taken on an illegal building being built in front of a restaurant named PB-08. He said that a notice was issued earlier to the owner of the building under construction which was demolished by running a ditch machine. But he did not take the notice seriously and neither did he get the map of the building passed nor did he take any other permission from the corporation for construction.
He said that even after giving repeated notices, the owner of the under construction building was not stopping his work, on which, taking action on the orders of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gautam Jain early this morning, the machine was run on the restaurant.
