A doctor allegedly murdered his domestic help in the Amar Colony police station area of Southeast Delhi. Police stated that the accused, Dr. Manish Gupta, killed 45-year-old Meena; her body was found on the roof of a building near his residence in Mount Kailash. The police were informed of the incident at 11:36 AM today. An angle of black magic is also being investigated in this case.
Officers arrived at the scene
According to the police, upon receiving the information, the ACP (Kalkaji), SHO (Amar Colony), and local police force immediately rushed to the scene. They discovered the body of a woman, later identified as Meena, who worked as a domestic help.
Doctor confessed to the crime
The accused, Dr. Manish Gupta, an MBBS doctor (dermatologist) in his fifties was present near the body. He confessed to the police that he had attacked Meena first with a bat and then with a knife. The police immediately arrested the accused.
The maid had been working at the doctor’s house for a long time
Police received information about the murder via a PCR call regarding a woman found near Dr. Manish Gupta’s Mount Kailash residence. The caller reported a woman lying in a pool of blood on the roof of a nearby building. A police team arrived at the spot and recovered Meena’s body; she had been employed at Dr. Gupta’s home for a long time. Dr. Gupta was arrested at the scene and has confessed to the crime during interrogation.
Weapons recovered
The weapons used in the crime are being recovered. A crime scene investigation team has been summoned to inspect the site. The police have registered a case under relevant sections and initiated an investigation. Efforts are currently underway to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
