Punjab State Scheduled Caste Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi reached the local Shiv Kumar Batalvi Auditorium in Batala after resolving the complaints of the Scheduled Caste people. The Chairman has first suspended the BDPO of Dera Baba Nanak and the Panchayat Secretary of Kotli Surat Malli with immediate effect.
During the conversation, the Chairman said that my job is to solve the problems faced by the Scheduled Caste people, which I have done by coming to Batala today. Some complaints have been resolved on the spot, and some pending complaints will be resolved in Chandigarh.
The Chairman said that the orders of the Commission were violated by the Panchayat Secretary and the BDPO. Due to which both of them were suspended with immediate effect. During the conversation, the ADC and the SP of Punjab Police said that the Commission has heard the complaints of the common people today. Some complaints have been resolved on the spot and some complaints will be resolved at the Commission office.
