Huge crowds of devotees gathered at several religious sites, including the Jhandewalan Temple in Delhi, the Kalkaji Temple, the Mata Tekri Temple in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, the Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, and the Sureshwari Devi Temple in Haridwar.
