On Tuesday, the second day of the budget session of the Uttarakhand Assembly, the Dhami government presented the budget for the financial year 2024-25. Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal presented a budget of Rs 89,230.07 crore in the Assembly. The government is estimated to earn revenue of Rs 88,597.11 crore.
In this, revenue receipts of Rs 60,552.90 crore and capital receipts of Rs 28,044.21 crore have been estimated.
Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that the government has brought a budget based on the overall development of the state. The government’s budget focuses on strong Uttarakhand. The state government is moving forward with the aim of including Uttarakhand among the leading states of the country by 2025.
Keeping this goal in mind, the government will determine the budgetary provisions and the nature of new schemes.
The budget includes air connectivity in all the districts, getting rid of unsafe bridges, availability of necessary furniture in government schools, establishment of self-employment centers in all the districts, establishment of auditoriums and culture centers in the district headquarters, stadiums in all the district headquarters, arrangement for students from outside the state.
