The Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab is set to launch a state-wide door-to-door public outreach campaign from September 20. According to the party, booth-level workers will reach out to people and share information about the work carried out and schemes implemented by the Punjab government during its nearly four-and-a-half-year tenure. The campaign will also focus on expanding the party’s membership.
Campaign to Reach 25,332 Polling Booths
According to the Punjab government Punjab in-charge, around 2.68 lakh booth committee members will participate in the campaign. The workers will visit households falling under 25,332 polling booths across the state. The party said the campaign will focus on informing people about the Punjab government’s work and various schemes implemented for different sections of society.
Chief Minister to Join Campaign from Dhuri
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will participate in the outreach campaign from his assembly constituency, Dhuri. Along with the public outreach drive, the party will also conduct a membership campaign across Punjab. Ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, the Punjab government and the party have been working to strengthen the organisation at the booth level through this campaign.
Strategy Finalised After PAC Meeting in Delhi
According to the Aam Aadmi Party, the strategy for the extensive public outreach programme in Punjab was finalised during a meeting of the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) held in Delhi. Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema were present at the meeting.
