Chandigarh: The Punjab government has accepted the resignation of School Education Board Chairperson Satbir Bedi. Former Delhi IAS officer Satbir Bedi took over as Punjab School Education Board Chairman in June this year. But after her appointment, politics started heating up on the appointment.
Opposition leaders had raised many questions on her appointment and said that she is close to Delhi Chief Minister cum Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal. People from Delhi are being given appointments in Punjab.
Amid these controversies, she had resigned.
After accepting the resignation of former IAS Satbir Bedi, the government has handed over the additional charge of Education Board Chairman to the Education Department Secretary.
