Chandigarh, May 11: All schools, colleges, and universities across Punjab will resume normal operations from Monday, May 12, according to a statement issued by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.
Taking to his X handle, Bains confirmed the news, adding, “All educational institutions — schools, colleges, and universities — across Punjab shall reopen from tomorrow. Regular classes and examinations will proceed as per academic schedule.
We are immensely proud of our brave armed forces.”
The decision has been taken following a temporary closure of educational institutions across the state due to the emergency situation triggered by heightened India-Pakistan tensions.
With the recent ceasefire agreement now in effect and the situation returning to normal, the Punjab government has deemed it safe to resume academic activities.
