Mumbai: Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Ali Fazal recently took part in an exhibition match at the World Pickleball League (WPL) at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The duo teamed up with professional players Lauren Mercado and Thaddea Lock for a 15-minute doubles match, with Khan and Lock emerging victorious with a 13-8 scoreline. The actors also entertained the audience with live commentary during the event.

 

Reflecting on the experience, Aamir Khan described the game as “wonderful” and expressed his gratitude for playing alongside top professionals. “It was a great honour and pleasure to play this game today,” he said. Ali Fazal echoed his enthusiasm, highlighting the sport’s intensity and growing popularity. “They made us run throughout the game! Pickleball has really caught on, and so many people are enjoying it,” he remarked. Meanwhile, in the WPL semi-finals, Bengaluru Jawans and Pune United secured their spots in the tournament final, setting the stage for an exciting conclusion to the league.
