Mumbai: Bollywood star Aamir Khan has officially announced the release date of his upcoming film, ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, which was confirmed through the release of its first poster. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on June 20.
Aamir Khan, who also directed the film—a spiritual sequel to his debut ‘Taare Zameen Par’—has generated excitement with its debut poster. The poster features Aamir alongside 10 new actors making their debut, indicating a lively, heartwarming, and enchanting story ahead. The new cast members include Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. The captivating image has heightened curiosity about the film.
After his last appearance in the 2022 film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’—an Indian adaptation of ‘Forrest Gump’—Aamir is making a return to the big screen with ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, where he will star opposite Genelia Deshmukh. The poster hints at a special and impactful offering from the much-anticipated project.
The film is directed by R. S. Prasanna, known for the hit ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, and is expected to feature thought-provoking storytelling. The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, while music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with screenplay by Divy Nidhi Sharma.
