Diljit Dosanjh shares devotional reflections from Golden Temple on 41st anniversary of Operation Bluestar

On the 41st anniversary of Operation Bluestar, singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh took a moment to reflect on his visit to the Golden Temple. Sharing peaceful moments from the holy shrine on Instagram, he expressed a deep sense of devotion and serenity. The videos showed him bowing in reverence, offering prayers with folded hands, participating humbly in sewa, and sitting quietly while listening to the soulful kirtan. He also received kara prasad with gratitude, demonstrating his strong spiritual connection to the sacred site.

Accompanying the visuals, Diljit added his devotional song ‘Aar Nanak Paar Nanak’ as background music. He also shared a stunning image of the Golden Temple beautifully lit up, capturing its spiritual grandeur and tranquil aura. In the caption, he simply wrote, “Waheguru.”

For context, Operation Bluestar was a military operation carried out by the Indian Army in June 1984 at the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar, Punjab. Ordered by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the operation aimed to remove armed militants hiding inside the sacred shrine. The attack, which took place from June 1 to 8, 1984, resulted in a large loss of life and caused extensive damage to the shrine and its surroundings.

On the work front, Diljit Dosanjh is preparing for the release of his upcoming Punjabi rom-com “Sardaarji 3,” scheduled to hit theaters on June 27. Directed by Amar Hundal, the film also stars Neeru Bajwa and Manav Vij. The original “Sardaarji,” released in 2015, was a fantasy horror-comedy, while its sequel, “Sardaarji 2,” came out in 2016, both featuring Diljit in prominent roles.
