For those unfamiliar, Applause Entertainment is a leading content studio in India, recognized for popular series such as “Black Warrant,” “Scam,” “Criminal Justice,” “Tanaav,” and “Undekhi.” Kabir Khan is renowned for his blockbuster films like “Ek Tha Tiger,” “Chak De! India,” “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” “83,” and “Chandu Champion.”
In related news, on January 28, Kabir Khan attended the Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, where he participated in a holy dip. His involvement in this significant religious event sparked a mix of admiration and debate on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). While many praised his portrayal of the spiritual essence of the Kumbh Mela, discussions also arose surrounding his earlier work, particularly “Chak De! India.” The film, featuring Shah Rukh Khan as a Muslim coach leading a women’s hockey team to victory, is celebrated in Indian cinema but has faced criticism for its perceived historical inaccuracies regarding the portrayal of Khan’s character.
