Chandigarh: Traffic Police has issued a traffic plan and guidelines for Karan Aujla’s live concert to be held at Exhibition Ground, Sector 34, Chandigarh on 7th December 2024. Special arrangements have been made for security and traffic arrangements given the large number of spectators. Punjabi singer will be performing in 8 cities across India and his tour is getting started from Chandigarh.
Since large number of spectators will be attending the concert, arrangements of smooth parking has been made by the administration. Parking facility will be available as per the following color-coding. Parking at Sector 34 Mela Ground for VVIP ticket holders – Spectators with black/grey/brown/white/pink wristbands. Fan Pit – Spectators with red wristbands will park in front of Sector 34 Gurdwara and Polka Mode. VIP ticket holders – Blue wrist bands, Sector 34 Gurdwara and nearby parking space. General Spectator (GA) – Vacant spaces in Sector 17 Multi-Level Parking and adjacent parking for spectators with yellow wrist bands.
Shuttle bus service will be available from Sector 17 parking lot to the exhibition grounds.
In view of the concert, Traffic restrictions and diversions have been made on the nearby roads. Only concert ticket holders will be allowed to take Polka turn from 33/34 Light Point and 34/35 Light Point from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Other vehicular traffic will be diverted from Bhartiya School T-point, Dispensary turn and 44/45 Chowk. The route will be unobstructed for emergency vehicles and medical assistance.
Some guidelines are also issued by the administration for viewers. It is advised to the Ticket holders that they should reach the venue on time. To maintain the traffic, it is said that people should either use public transport or carpooling. The administration has also said that people coming on their vehicles should park their vehicles at the designated place only.
