Malavika Mohanan is currently filming for the much-anticipated spy thriller ‘Sardar 2’ in Bangkok, alongside actors Karthi and Rajisha Vijayan, under the direction of P S Mithran. She shared a photo from the set on her Instagram stories on Friday, revealing that the team is filming some action sequences and a song during this final schedule.
It was earlier disclosed by Malavika in May that she planned to complete her shoot for ‘Sardar 2’ in June. The team has been shooting for over 100 days, having wrapped up a milestone of 100 days of filming in April.
Director P S Mithran recently confirmed in an exclusive interview that dubbing for the film is also underway, with only about 5 to 10 percent of the project remaining. He shared this update during the launch event of the film’s prologue.
The sequel was announced with a promo that showed Karthi’s character being sent to Cambodia as a spy. When asked whether the story moves to Cambodia first or shifts to China, Mithran explained that it initially takes place in Cambodia before moving to China.
A recently released prologue revealed that actor S J Suryah plays the main antagonist, named Black Dagger. On the technical side, the film features cinematography by George Williams, music composed by Sam C S, editing by Ruben, and art direction by K Kadhir. The action scenes are choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan, and the story has been written by M R Pon Parthipan, Roju Bipin Ragu, and Geevee.
