Mumbai: Actress Nimrat Kaur visited the iconic Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Mahashivratri to seek divine blessings.
Known for her performances in films like “The Lunchbox” and “Airlift,” Nimrat shared her temple visit on social media, posting photos and writing, “Shiva in every particle, Shiva in body and mind. Har Har Mahadev.” Wearing a traditional outfit, she looked graceful in front of the ancient temple, an important pilgrimage site for Lord Shiva’s devotees.
The Trimbakeshwar Temple, which houses one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, is a site of immense religious significance and attracts many visitors each year.
Several celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Shilpa Shetty, Sonam Kapoor, and Hema Malini, extended their warm wishes to fans on this auspicious day. Akshay shared a post featuring Lord Shiva, wishing for his blessings for strength, wisdom, and inner peace. Suniel Shetty posted a video of himself praying and noted, “Surrender to Shiva. And everything else surrenders to you. Om Uma Maheshwarabhyaam Namah.”
In the days leading up to Mahashivratri, Nimrat reflected on her experiences at the Maha Kumbh Snan, which was a new concept for her as someone raised in a Sikh family. On February 18, she participated in the holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj and later expressed her gratitude on Instagram. She described the Mahakumbh event as a profound opportunity that deepened her understanding of the festival’s rich mythology and history. Nimrat expressed her admiration for the faith and dedication of those participating in such a significant gathering, and she acknowledged the efforts of the authorities in managing the large event.
