Punjabi rapper Shubh has been chosen by the United Nations as the Global Brand Ambassador of Climate Advisory. The announcement was made at the United Nations Climate Conference COP29 held in Baku Azerbaijan. The decision of the United Nations was taken keeping in mind Shubh’s popularity, music and fan following.
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) believes that Shubh’s music is not only a means of entertainment, but he can also use his art and platform to raise awareness on social issues.
UNFCCC representative Jingwen Yang praised Shubh’s contribution and his global reach and said – His music and his initiatives are highly influential in raising awareness about climate change. His art also helps preserve historical climate information for future generations.
Shub expressed his feelings on this occasion and accepted this role as a serious responsibility. He said that this role is a great opportunity for him. They will use it to spread awareness on climate change, share knowledge and create a sustainable future for all living beings on our planet.
With this new role, Shubh has added himself to the list of big stars supporting global climate initiatives. These include names like Coldplay, BTS, Billie Eilish, Leonardo DiCaprio and David Beckham, who are already associated with various UN initiatives.
