Raha Kapoor steals the show as Ranbir Kapoor co-owned Mumbai City FC defeats Hyderabad FC

Mumbai: Raha Kapoor captured attention as her father, Ranbir Kapoor, co-owned Mumbai City FC, celebrated a 1-0 victory over Hyderabad FC on Saturday. Bollywood stars Ranbir and Alia Bhatt were spotted cheering for the team alongside their daughter Raha, who stole the spotlight with her adorable presence at the match. The father-daughter pair donned matching blue jerseys, and photos and videos of the Kapoor family quickly went viral on social media.

Ranbir and Alia, who married in 2022, welcomed Raha in November of the same year. They first revealed Raha’s face to the public during the Kapoor family’s Christmas lunch last December, where she wore a cute white Christmas sweater paired with a pastel pink tulle skirt, red shoes, and white socks.

On the professional front, Alia’s latest film, Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, did not perform well at the box office. The film features Alia as a sister on a mission to rescue her imprisoned brother, played by Vedang Raina. The release of Jigra was marred by controversy over comments made by Vasan Bala regarding Alia’s casting, which Karan Johar later claimed were misinterpreted. Additionally, Divya Khossla accused KJo of inflating the film’s box office numbers, as it struggled to attract viewers.

Interestingly, Divya’s film Savi follows a similar prison break narrative, with the main character attempting to rescue her husband, while Alia’s character aims to save her brother. Despite both films sharing a common storyline, Savi earned only Rs. 7.83 crore in two weeks before being replaced in theaters by the more successful Chandu Champion, while Jigra made Rs. 4.5 crore on its opening day. Despite allegations of ticket buybacks, there remains a significant disparity in the box office earnings of the two films.
