Mumbai, May 5: A woman has filed a complaint against actor Ajaz Khan, who appeared in Bigg Boss 7, accusing him of rape. It is alleged that Ajaz had relations with the woman by luring her with marriage and casting in the reality show House Arrest. According to India Today’s report, the woman has filed a complaint at the Charkop police station. The complainant has said that Ajaz Khan had offered her to host the House Arrest show. During the shooting, Ajaz Khan proposed her for marriage and later took her to his house, where he forcibly had physical relations with the woman on March 25. The woman claims that Ajaz Khan has forced her into physical relations several times. Ajaz had told her that his religion allows four marriages, so he will take full responsibility for her.
A complaint has been filed against Ajaz Khan under sections 63, 64 (2M), 69 and 74 of the Indian Penal Code. The woman who filed the complaint is said to be 30 years old. Ajaz Khan will be arrested as soon as possible.
Girls were made to do obscene acts in the show, a complaint was filed
The reality show House Arrest was being streamed on the Ullu app, which is being hosted by Ajaz Khan. On April 29, a clip of the show went viral on social media, in which the show’s host, Ajaz Khan, is asking the female contestants to remove their clothes. Not only this, he asks the girls to do Kamasutra poses. Following his instructions, the girls start posing. After the clip went viral, the Women’s Commission and political parties immediately demanded action against the show and its makers.
On May 2, the National Commission for Women (NCW) took a tough stand and issued summons to Ullu App CEO Vibhu Agarwal and actor Ajaz Khan. The commission has directed both of them to appear by May 9.
The summons accuse the Ullu app of broadcasting pornographic content. It further states that on April 29, a clip of the show ‘House Arrest’ went viral on social media, in which Ejaz Khan was pressuring female contestants to pose in an objectionable manner in front of the camera. Some contestants were uncomfortable doing this task, but their displeasure was ignored.
The National Commission for Women says that such a show is against the dignity of women and is called sexual harassment in the name of entertainment. He said that if the allegations are confirmed during the investigation, it can become a serious criminal case under the Indian Justice Code, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Bajrang Dal had warned, Ullu app issued an apology
Bajrang Dal had written a letter to Ullu Digital Media and warned that if all the episodes are not deleted soon, they will take action against them in their own way.
Now the app streaming this show has apologized and distanced itself from the controversy. Also, all the episodes of the show have been deleted from the app. The apology officially issued by Ullu App reads, We inform you that all the episodes of the mentioned show have been removed 3-4 days ago. “The release of this show is the result of the negligence and carelessness of our internal team, which we accept. We follow the law. We appreciate your vigilance and proactive approach in bringing this matter to our attention. We apologize for this trouble.”
