Sara Ali Khan’s winter favourites are undhiyu, sarso ka saag

Mumbai: Sara Ali Khan recently shared her favorite winter dishes on Instagram, showcasing the Gujarati delicacy undhiyu and the Punjabi classic sarso ka saag. In her post, she included a picture of the dishes, labeling one as undhiyu and the other as sarso ka saag, along with stickers that read “fresh” and “saag paneer.” She expressed her excitement, writing, “My two favourite things!! Winter is here. Only love and thanks to @krishoparekh.”

Undhiyu, a mixed-vegetable dish from Surat, Gujarat, gets its name from the Gujarati word for ‘upside-down,’ as it is traditionally cooked underground in earthen pots called matlu. Sarso ka saag, known by various names across regions, originates from Punjab and is celebrated for its rich flavors.

In other news, a video went viral showing an elderly man protecting Sara from paparazzi. As photographers gathered to take her picture, the man stepped in front of her, even taking camera phones from them to shield her. Sara appeared confused by the situation as she made her way to a salon, while the paparazzi still managed to capture some shots of her.

On the work front, Sara was last seen in “Ae Watan Mere Watan” alongside Emraan Hashmi and Abhay Verma. She is currently filming a unique spy comedy with Ayushmann Khurrana, directed by Aakash Kaushik.
